Mindful Movement

Classical Pilates studio providing a personalized experience.

Private & duet sessions · 55 minutes · Ramsey, NJ

The studio

Pilates the way it was written — taught one person at a time.

MStudio Pilates is a small classical studio in Ramsey, New Jersey. There are no packed classes here and no guessing what comes next. Every appointment is private or duet instruction with Michele, built around the body you brought in that morning.

Classical, in order

The original Pilates method, taught in its intended sequence. The work builds on itself, so what you learn in your first month still holds up in your fifth year.

Personal by design

Private and duet sessions only — no crowded classes. Every session is planned around your body, your history and what you walked in with that day.

Taught, not counted

You get corrections, hands-on cueing and a reason for every exercise. Progress comes from precision, not from pushing through another rep.

What we offer

Two ways to work together.

55 minutes

Private Sessions

One-on-one, entirely yours.

Your session is built around you — your goals, your injuries, your posture, the way you actually move. Michele works with you through the classical apparatus and matwork, adjusting the plan as you get stronger.

  • A full assessment on your first visit
  • Programming that adapts session to session
  • Work around injuries, surgery and back pain
  • Ideal if you're brand new to Pilates

Duet Sessions

Two people, one teacher.

Bring a partner, a friend or a family member and share the session. You still get real attention and individual corrections — with the accountability (and the cost) shared between you.

  • Same personal instruction, shared cost
  • Great for couples, siblings and friends
  • Both bodies programmed for individually
  • A friendly way to stay consistent

Coming back from injury

You're cleared to move again and you need someone paying close attention while you rebuild.

FAQs

Good questions

I've never done Pilates before. Is that okay?

More than okay — it's the best way to start. Because every session here is private, you learn the method properly from your very first visit, at a pace that suits you. There's no keeping up with a room full of people.

What is classical Pilates?

It's the original method Joseph Pilates developed, taught in its intended order and on the traditional apparatus. The sequence is deliberate — each exercise prepares you for the next — which is why the work builds so reliably over time.

How long is a session?

Every session is 55 minutes. Appointments start on the hour, Monday through Friday from 7:30am, with Saturday mornings coming soon.

What's the difference between a private and a duet?

A private is one-on-one. A duet is two people sharing one instructor — you still get individual programming and corrections, with the cost shared between you. Duets work beautifully for couples, friends and family.
