FAQs

Everything people ask

I've never done Pilates before. Is that okay?

More than okay — it's the best way to start. Because every session here is private, you learn the method properly from your very first visit, at a pace that suits you. There's no keeping up with a room full of people.

What is classical Pilates?

It's the original method Joseph Pilates developed, taught in its intended order and on the traditional apparatus. The sequence is deliberate — each exercise prepares you for the next — which is why the work builds so reliably over time.

How long is a session?

Every session is 55 minutes. Appointments start on the hour, Monday through Friday from 7:30am, with Saturday mornings coming soon.

What's the difference between a private and a duet?

A private is one-on-one. A duet is two people sharing one instructor — you still get individual programming and corrections, with the cost shared between you. Duets work beautifully for couples, friends and family.

Do you work with injuries or back pain?

Yes. Working privately means the session can be built around what your body will tolerate today, and adjusted as you get stronger. If you're under the care of a physician or physical therapist, we'll work alongside their guidance.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable, fitted clothing you can move in, and grippy socks if you have them. Bring water — everything else is here.

Where are you and is there parking?

We're at 19 Spear Road, Suite 310 in Ramsey, easy to reach from across Bergen County. There's parking on site.

How do I book?

Online booking through Zipper is on its way. Until then, email or call and Michele will get you scheduled.
